5. Presque Isle State Park

ERIE.   Arguably Erie's top attraction, the Presque Isle is one of the state's most popular parks. It's a lovely finger of land that's bordered by Lake Erie on one side and the Bay on the other. It includes over 15 miles of well-maintained hiking trails, paved biking and rollerblading trails and a number of sandy beaches perfect for sunning and walking. Boating, fishing, hunting, kayaking, birdwatching and swimming are all pastimes to be enjoyed at this magnificent natural attraction. The Presque Isle also includes picnic areas and a picturesque lighthouse on one of its northernmost beaches.   (© 10Best)
