ERIE. The US Brig "Niagara" is the reconstructed flagship of the Keystone State. A replica of the sailing vessel commanded by Commodore Oliver H. Perry during the War of 1812 and the Battle of Lake Erie, this ship docks for part of the year in Erie's harbor and is open for tours. The Erie Maritime Museum serves as home base for the brig and provides access to it as well as education on the battle, the region's involvement and the ship's details. The museum's shop offers maritime souvenirs and other Niagara memorabilia. (© 10Best) More Details for U. S.
