The Great Lakes Film Association is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 2002. Great Lakes Film Association is Northwest Pennsylvania’s only association for independent film and is the first to organize an independent film festival. Establishing both the Great Lakes Independent Film Festival and the Eerie Horror Film Festival, both annually held in the city of Erie. The association works closely with local filmmakers, musicians, and artists, helping them receive the much needed recognition for their independent works. The Great Lakes Film Association has also worked with other organizations to help raise funds for children, our community, and the less fortunate. In 2006 the association launched an online Arts & Entertainment magazine, now known as ERI Jams Online Magazine, Erie's Premiere Arts & Entertainment Magazine. In addition to covering the main stream events and artists, ERI Jams also features the underground talent that sometimes is overlooked by main stream publications, making ERI Jams Magazine the first of its kind in the history of Erie. ERI Jams has a subscription base of more than 15,000 readers. Website: Visit the Great Lakes Film Association website » |
