ERIE.   Matthew,s seamlessly blends live jazz with authentic Italian cuisine in an environment that's upscale yet friendly. Start with the tasty brushcetta trattoria or spicy stuffed banana peppers, and then select from main courses like chicken Romano and pasta primavera. A martini lounge, stocked with signature drinks like the Blue Sapphire and the Raspberry Cosmopolitan, adds to the popularity of this trendy spot.   (© 10Best)

Thank goodness we have Matthews. The bartenders are top notch. The cocktails are stong. Be careful. The food is great. The best place in Erei to hang out with people who aren't from West Virginia.

I've never had any better meal in Erie--this place is CONSISTENTLY awesome. From the drinks to the dinners and the service to the atmosphere, there is, in my opinion, nothing else in this city worth bothering with.

This is one of the only places I will take out of town business partners. The food and service is consistently top notch, the drinks strong and enjoyable, and the ambience unbeatable. The only things I've ever noticed them run out of (and I've been there at least twenty times in the past two years) are the daily specials--but that should be expected from a restaurant that boasts "only the freshest ingredients" (they'd rather run out than rehash for the next day)
