ERIE.
One step through Serafini's door and bellies start grumbling. The tantalizing aromas of home-cooked food - wedding soup, chicken cacciatore, veal parmesan, lasagna - are almost as good as the food itself. The kitchen claims, and most diners agree, that the success is in the sauce. Made fresh daily, it's been rewarding diners since 1938. Steaks and prime rib round out the menu.

Serafini's has been around for a long time. I have had both good and bad service there, as well as good and not so good food. I think both have declined over the years. For the price it's not bad, but it lacks any real kind of ambiance. To me it's like eating at Pizza Hut.
As for the person who was aked to leave. As a former restaurant manager, there are other ways this could have been handled. You never want to make a customer angry. A happy customer might tell a few people but an unhappy customer will tell everyone.

They made us leave!
We went to Serafini's for Mothers Day. This has been a favorite restaurant for our family for years. We had a reservation but had to wait 40 minutes for our table. We understood that it was busy. No problem.
The food was great and the waitress was wonderful. However, as we were lingering over coffee and chatting, the hostess asked us to leave. We had only finished eating and paying about 10 minutes before. I have never been asked to leave a restaurant before. They said they needed the table. The hostesses were extremely rude and said they had to make people leave all day and we should get over it. I guess we will have to find a new favorite restaurant.
