3. The Double Locks

CANAL BANKS. Situated on the Exeter Shipping Canals, this pub enjoys access via boat, car, or foot (it's less than a thirty-minute walk from the Quay). You'll find a good mix of students, locals, and tourists at this immensely popular pub. They have a fairly decent menu, and an impressive list of on-tap libations. It's not uncommon to find a number of dogs hanging out around the Double Locks, for their masters often stop in for a brief rest during the usual afternoon walk.   (© 10Best)
