7. The Well House Tavern

CITY CENTRE. Situated near Exeter's historic Cathedral Green, this tavern boasts a great atmosphere and fairly decent prices considering its "uptown" location. In the pub's cellar, there is supposedly a skeleton of a woman who died during one the plague outbreaks as well as remnants of the old medieval well that lends the tavern its name.
