1. Bergquist Pioneer Cabin

MOORHEAD.   One of the Fargo-Moorhead area's oldest homes, this cabin dates from 1870. Built by John Bergquist, a Swedish immigrant, the rustic home offers a fascinating glimpse at what life along the Red River was like prior to the introduction of electricity and running water. Each June, during the Hjemkomst Festival, the cabin is opened to visitors; otherwise, interested parties should call the Clay County Museum for information about touring the cabin.   (© 10Best)
