MOORHEAD. This late-19th-century Victorian home was built by Solomon Comstock, a pillar of the Moorhead community whose many accomplishments included founding the city's First National Bank, establishing Moorhead State University, and serving as state senator. His daughter, Ada, also led an accomplished life, holding administrative positions at the University of Minnesota and Radcliffe College. The home, maintained by the state historical society, looks much as it did when the Comstocks lived there. It is still decorated with original Queen Anne furnishings.
