8. Red River Zoo

SOUTHWEST FARGO.   Tucked away on approximately 30 acres in the southwest corner of Fargo are some of the area's wildest characters, from bactrian camels and red pandas to cranes and Sichuan takin. Indeed, more than 75 species are represented at the Red River Zoo. Guests to the facility find an impressive array of man-made habitats, including rolling hills, trickling streams, and ponds. For a smaller Zoo, this one is so nice to have in town! The restored Carousel building is very classy...nice to relax on! The animals are very close to you, & easy to see. The Red Pandas are sooo adorable! Quite simply, it's a good value, & such a nice break from the "busier" activities. Very pleasant little zoo!
