WEST FAYETTEVILLE.   AQ is one of Northwest Arkansas's true local treasures, as it has been since the elder Springdale location opened its doors back in 1947. Their chicken is prepared four ways: pan-fried, over-the-coals, barbecued, or fire-roasted. Hungry appetites should consider the all-you-can-eat platter, with a choice of sides (from seasoned green beans and corn on the cob to sweet potato casserole and fried okra). Still one of the best I've been going here since I was a kid forty years ago and my parents drove two hours to get there. Things have gone up and down since and I noticed there was two bad reviews but i've heard the Fayetteville location leaves something to be desired. Nevertheless, the Springdale location is still one of the best valued meals in America. They are stingy on side items which makes no sense but the chicken is still great - especially "over the coals".
