5. Doe's Eat Place

This place was fantastic. It lost a star for decor, but the food was great. I come from a place where they raise beef, but the steak I had was probably the best I've ever had. Way too much of everything (but hey, I can live with that!), and at a reasonable price. I can't wait to go back!

The server started the meal by telling me what cuts they were out of today so I knew this would be fun. I had to order an overpriced 1.5 lbs. T-Bone because the restaurant does not even offer anything smaller. The server brought out a bowl with iceberg lettuce covered with vinegar and said it was a salad I think. Then, I got an excellent steak with 3 red potatoes. My beer, which they had on tap, was $ 5 per glass. I spent $ 42 on food just for me. The steak was good but it was not anything special.
