Here, you'll find artifacts, uniforms, weapons, interactive displays, and an inspirational documentary, along with a flight simulator that allows for a virtual parachute jump and helicopter attack. This scenic garden on the campus of Fayetteville Technical Community College showcases a vast assortment of roses. Visitors can schedule special events at the garden or enjoy the fountains and gazebo, which give it added appeal. Peak bloom time is March-October.

Heritage Square is the site of three landmark structures: the Sandford House (1800), the Baker-Haigh-Nimocks House (1804), and the Oval Ballroom (1818). Each structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Owned and maintained by the Fayetteville Women's Club, which offers guided tours by appointment, for a nominal fee.
