Remnants of Native American dwellings pepper the landscape around Flagstaff, and Wupatki is one of the largest. Rising three stories and constructed of native red sandstone, the complex features almost 100 different rooms, along with community recreational structures. A striking natural feature is the blowhole, which blasts air from the rocks when air pressure changes. A visitors center and hiking trails are available. Fee is good for 7 days at both Sunset Crater Volcano and Wupatki National Monuments.
