FLAGSTAFF.   Should you desire to explore the natural terrain of northern Arizona, this national forest affords prime opportunity. Sprawling across nearly two million acres, its lands reach a height of more than 12,000 feet in the San Francisco Peaks and descend to just under 3000 feet at the forest's lowest elevations.
