FLAGSTAFF.   Should you desire to explore the natural terrain of northern Arizona, this national forest affords prime opportunity. Sprawling across nearly two million acres, its lands reach a height of more than 12,000 feet in the San Francisco Peaks and descend to just under 3000 feet at the forest's lowest elevations. The rugged landscape offers spectacular scenery, and visitors can drive through to experience it all or take the time to ride horses, fish for trout, hunt wild game, or launch a boat on Lake Mary.   (© 10Best)
