FLAGSTAFF. The history of Flagstaff is one based on hard work, sacrifice, and individual strength. All these qualities have tangible incarnations at this museum, located in a stone building that once served as a hospital and boarding house for the county's poor. Today, the structure houses artifacts and implements from the early part of the century, illustrating domestic, agricultural, medical, and pioneering aspects of the city's past. Visitors can also check out a barn, cabin, root cellar, firetruck, steam locomotive, and wagon from Flagstaff's early days.
