When there's snow on the ground, folks take to the slopes for downhill skiing and snowboarding, courtesy of a 2300-foot drop, 4 lifts, 32 trails, rental facilities, and skiing schools. When the weather's warm, the Skyride takes visitors to 11,500 feet, where they can see a panorama of northern Arizona, including the Grand Canyon's North Rim. Hiking is also available, and the lodge makes refreshments available as well. The affiliated Nordic Center caters to cross-country skiers and is open from December to April.
