5. Meteor Crater

At 12 bucks a head the price is typical for something like this. You walk through a small museum area and learn about the history of it and about craters in general. The crater itself is impressive of course. It would make a really great photo op if you can get there when the sun is at high noon that’s the best since the whole crater will be lit up nicely. I would not make this drive out here all for this. As this is a 30 minute stop at best before you have seen it all and are ready to split. This is a good stop as part of a larger trip, perhaps to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest as well since they are in the same direction. So if you’re going out to see those other attractions, this is a nice stop on the way. But I wouldn’t' bother making a trip out here only to see the crater.
