FLAGSTAFF.   This restaurant boasts charm galore, thanks to cozy fireplaces and its presence in an historic hotel. Ambience is terrific, and the menu features dishes that riff on local culinary traditions. Great burgers and sandwiches make an appearance, and you'll find salads, steaks and crab cakes as well. The nachos court a faithful following too, and tacos and enchiladas add a bit of Southwestern flair. Great beer, good drinks, an excellent scotch selection. Food has improved drastically over the years, they now have fabulous breakfasts too. Scene changes by night, might be frat boys, might be hipster types, might be hippies or suits. And they all tend to get along.
