I'm completely sorry about these reviews; however I disagree. This restaurant is flints best kept secret. The table side ceaser salads are awesome the service has always been fabulous and the flaming crapes!! say no more. I am a foody so ive been to every restaurant in and out of the city and no one can compare to the excellent wine list and old town atmosphere that this restaurant has provided for years and will still provide for years to come. If you want the best ceaser salad in town and a filet that is cooked to perfection with a romantic atmosphere this is the place to go. My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary which was on Valetine's Day. We figured that Feb. 14th might be too crowded. So therefore, my husband made reservations the day before, Friday the 13th. He has asked for a special booth or table where we could have a romantic dinner. We had dinner before at the Red Rooster and "thought" that we would have a great evening. WRONG. Our 6:30 dinner reservation began by seating us in a busy area near the bar. It took our waitress at least 15 mins. before evening getting our drinks. Our appetizer took another 30 minutes, our soup another 30 minutes on top of that and long story short it was 8:20 pm and we still hadn't even gotten our salad. Others in our section were also disgruntled and unhappy. The table next to us got our soup order and we spoke of how bad the service was. We ended up cancelling our salad and entree. It was only then that another waitress stepped in to help our waitress and she apologized for the poor service. She said that our waitress was coming off of another job and was tired. To make matters worse, not only did our waitress not come over to apologize, but one of the owners and his wife were a few tables away and never came over either. We will NEVER go there again. We should have stuck to our first restaurant choice and went to Luca's Chophouse in Grand Blanc where not only the food is always wonderful, but the owners and staff can't do enough for their customers. What was once a great Flint restaurant seems only to be concerned about their regulars. Too bad.....

My wife and I reserved a table for our anniversary. We were seated in a section next to a large party. Our waitress ignored us for about ten minutes, then came over and took our drink order. Fifty minutes later after several tries to order we walked out. The manager apologized but I was too upset to talk to him about the bad service. We had been there before and the service was slow but not like this encounter. I had been there with an acquaintance who ate lunch there almost every day. Let me assure his service was perfect. Without new customers you will eventually be eliminated.
