3. Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival

The Buzz -- Fifteenth annual installment of this popular event. In the festival's beginning, it took place of a period of only one week. The popularity and significance of this event has grown so much that it now lasts one month and, with 100 films and 200 screenings, is the world's longest film festival. The stunning Miniaci Theatre hosts the festival's opening ceremony. Afterwards, screenings and other events take place in venues ranging from Huizenga Plaza to the The Regal Cypress Creek cinemas.
