5. Padrino's

Unassuming but delicious, this restaurant is an area favorite for authentic Cuban cuisine. All the traditional dishes are available, from ropa vieja to paella, and you'll also find great black beans and rice and terrific medianoches (smaller versions of the ham-and-roast pork Cuban sandwich and originally intended as a midnight snack). For true comfort food appeal, sample the tender pot roast and a serving of plantains. You'll almost think you're in Havana! Dinner reservations not accepted on Fridays and Saturdays.   (© 10Best)
