6. Turner Beach

SANIBEL ISLAND.   A primo spot for surfers, Turner Beach is located at the southern end of Captiva Island, where the water can be quite wild. The young and reckless are usually found at this Ft Myers park, showcasing their board skills in the big breakers. If you can do without the rough water, this Captiva Island beach is also a peaceful place to soak up the sun and look for a shell or two in the soft, white sand.   (© 10Best)
