5. Bowman's Beach

SANIBEL ISLAND.   Ft Myers beaches are sometimes crowded, especially on the weekends; Bowman's Beach, on the other hand, is a little harder to find, leaving it fairly secluded. For a romantic trip to watch the sunset or a family endeavor free of crowds, this Sanibel Island beach is a spot definitely worth checking out. For an easy afternoon of grilling and relaxing, Bowman’s is also the only beach in the area with in-place grills.   (© 10Best)

My wife and I feel that the area is great for people who just want to relax and enjoy the view. We found it quiet and peaceful compared to the other beaches on Sanibel. We are looking forward to returning again this year (2003) to that wonderful beach.
