4. Fort Myers Historical Museum

DOWNTOWN.   Covering the vast history of southwestern Florida, the Fort Myers Historical Museum features exhibits from the Calusa Native American village to a reconstruction of 19th-century Fort Myers. This attraction also covers the history of all of Southwest Florida, so be prepared for a learning experience. A bit disappointing, but it's on its way to becoming a good museum. There are different areas explaining the history of the Fort Myers area.
