FORT MYERS BEACH.
Providing the freshest seafood straight from their own fishing fleet, Snug Harbor is not only waterfront, it is built on the water and next to the Sky Bridge. Fantastic views of the Gulf are guaranteed for all. Fresh seafood, such as pan-roasted tripletail with lobster cream sauce and pan-fried grouper will have your taste buds popping. With daily happy hours and live music throughout the weekend, this Fort Myers seafood joint's crowds can get heavy. Dancing is popular, and one of the great extras is watching the beautiful Gulf Coast and the boats docks from this beach pub in Fort Myers.

My neighbors, my wife and I have often talked about dining at Snug's Harbor ....since we enjoy Ft. Myers Beach area so much and love to explore restaurants together. We were there last evening and it was a disaster. Besides needing some work on the ambience, the meals, all four of them were terribly disappointing.
My Grouper was tough, my wife's prime rib was cold, and our friends' meals [fish] were raw and tasteless. I regret not taking the opportunity to talk to the chef or manager, but i did not want to embarass my companions.
If it wasn't for the company, the evening would have been a total loss. I have rarely been this disappointed.

Nice place, good food, good service. New restaurant opened in May 2003. Will have to see if they keep up the tradition.

My husband, son and I were recently in Ft. Myers on a business trip, Nov. '02. We were misled by the information on the Snug Harbor Restaurant. We arrived around 5:15 and were immediately seated. The construction around the area did make it difficult to find the place. After construction, it should be easy to find. We ordered steamed oysters as an appetizer. The oysters were fine, however, we had to ask for crackers, horseradish sauce and were given only 4 crackers for a dozen oysters. We each had the Caesar salads and were disappointed that the salad was drowned in dressing. We were anticipating our dinner, which we were extremely disappointed. My husband had grouper that was stuffed with a cream seafood sauce; the taste had little to be desired, very bland. My son and I had Alaskan Snow Crab legs $24.95 for a pound. We were horribly disappointed. Most of the ends of our crabs were still frozen cold. We only ate about half of them. We are not complaining diners, but I will never recommend this restaurant.
