With an interior styled like a log cabin, this rustic place lets you know the cuisine is going to be hearty. It's also decidedly good. Appetizers include nachos, spicy shrimp cocktail, and venison quesadillas. Main course options feature such temptations as hacienda grilled catfish, stuffed poblano peppers, and grilled, bacon-wrapped prawns. Steaks are cut thick and perfectly prepared, just as you'd expect in Texas. Fajitas get their own menu, and combination plates let you sample a few of your favorite Southwestern treats. Even better, meals come with an assortment of sides to ensure that your satisfaction is as big as the Lone Star State. Frozen margaritas, said to have been invented by the owner, are worth your attention.   (© 10Best)

My experience at the La Hacienda Ranch in Colleyville was unlike previous visits to the ranch of the same name in Frisco. In an effort to enjoy the same great food and service me and my friend experienced at the Frisco establishment, we decided to give Colleyville a try. Mistake! Not the same great enthusiasm when you walk through the doors! Sitting at the bar is highly up to you, but be forewarned, we were not given prompt or courteous service, in fact - no service at all! The rush of the lunch crowd earlier in the day must have had all bartenders sitting in the back on break(?). We waited 15 minutes for service, finally gave up and left…
