Few restaurants can compete with the atmosphere and, yes, the cuisine of this colorful chain of Brazilian-style churrascarias. Family-friendly ambience pervades as diners enjoy a feast for the ages, one that features gaucho-wearing servers circling the South American-themed dining room with mouthwatering skewers of seasoned beef, chicken, lamb, pork, and Brazilian sausage. Just pick what you want, and they're happy to serve it up. Added temptations are Texas-sized side dishes like garlic mashed potatoes and sweet fried bananas. The extravagant salad bar has been known to turn heads as well.

What a great find in downtown Fort Worth!
We were told of Texas de Brazil by our daughter, then read probably 50 to 60 reviews about. I signed up for their email and got a complimentary birthday dinner and dessert for my husband. (Dinner is under $45), tea extra, and unbelieveable desserts are just under $8, but by the end of the meal who wants any -- you're stuffed. Fortunately, they offer to let you take home any dessert not eaten.
We were pre-warned not to fill up at the unbelievable salad bar -- good warning, but everything was so wonderful and diverse I couldn't resist. Cheeses, olives, mushrooms, breads, potatoes au grautin, sushi, asparagus, grilled squash, smoked salmon, shrimp, soups including lobster bisque -- I was still on second plate of salad when the gauchos starting coming over and filling my husband's plate over and over and over (you have a card you turn over on the table if you wish more meat -- my carnivore husband loved it!! I loved all their meats, including filet mignon, porks, lamb, flank, chicken, etc.
A wonderful place to eat, although I would not have wanted to mess with younger children (ages up to 6 are free, and 7 to 12 are half price). Nice-looking bar and decor is excellent!
We will definite return, hopefully with another coupon for half off -- just sign up with your email address and you should get a coupon within a few days allowing up to 6 people to get half off.
We loved this place! Next time might try lunch, though, and hopefully not eat as much as we did last night (07/07/09). If you eat at dinner hour, get there as they are opening at 5 -- it took about an hour to start filling up with customers in downtown Fort Worth. There are parking meters on the streets surrounding the place, and comfortable seating outside in case you get there before doors open at 5. It is on a bus route, too -- bus #67, for north Arlington -- pulls up right out front!
Great place to go - we cetainly loved it and would recommend to anybody!

If you're looking for a truly unique experience, especially in North Texas, this is the place to go. Both hearty and light appetites will be pleased with the plethora of selections. The warm and relaxed ambiance definitely sets your mood and invites you to try their ample and absolutely fabulous cuisine. If you're the connoisseur who believes that your meat doesn't have to be burnt to be considered "well done" and your tastes vary from a medium to medium rare the next, then you will feel in heaven when the meat-carrying gauchos come your way. The desserts are to to die for. The staff is very knowledgeable and quite helpful with their suggestions. All in all a definite 10 in my book.
