6. Paulskirche (St. Paul's Church)

CITY CENTER.   This historic and beautiful church has a storied history in Frankfurt as the site of the first German National Assembly in 1848. Mostly destroyed during the war and rebuilt in 1947, the interior of the old church reflects a modern sensibility and complements the exterior architectural style. Visits provide an interesting glimpse at the role of the church in the development of the region and the country.   (© 10Best)
