The Buzz -- Not just for pots anymore, the Dippemess (local dialect for pottery) is fun for the whole family. Begun as a crafts fair back in the 14th century, it has evolved into one of the most popular events in Frankfurt, attracting half a million from the city and beyond. Carousels and water slides happily co-exist with tables and tables of ceramics and kitchenware, and there are beer tents to keep everything lively. Kick-off and closing are punctuated with glorious fireworks displays.
