4. Mainfest Frankfurt

The Buzz -- Mainfest is a traditional, family friendly folk festival held along the banks of the Main at the Römerberg, the central square in Frankfurt's Old Town ("Altstadt"). The opening ceremony is held of the Fountain of Justice, which is turned into a wine fountain for the festival, and event offerings include carousels, fairground rides, games, raffles and shooting ranges. An excellent fireworks display caps off the fourth and final day of the festival.
