SACHSENHAUSEN.   Situated on the Alt-Sachsenhausen, a street full of history and romance, Bombay Palace stands out, with its dusty rose facade and carved niches holding statues on either side of the arched doorway. Once inside, archways separate the dining areas, done up in cool shades of green, a direct counterpoint to the savory spicy, rainbow of flavors of Indian and Pakistani delights on the menu, which included a plethora of vegetarian dishes. Tuesday night and the resturant was packed. 25 Euro for curry rice, nan and a couple of beers service was OK, but jalfreze was very average

I lived many years in Bombay as manager of an hotel and am a great admirer of Indian cuisine. After reading an interesting description in a very useful online guide to restaurants in Frankfurt I decided to invite some friends to try Indian food. We were a group of 12 and everyone was fully satisfied. As someone in the know I can guarantee for its authenticity. Even the service is authentic Indian - professional, friendly but totally cold and uncharming.
