4. Tandure

SACHSENHAUSEN.   Tandure, the brick oven traditionally used by the Kurds in southeast Turkey, is just one of the defining features of of this small, brightly decorated restaurant. Stucco walls hung with woven textiles, shining brass lamps and a replica of a thatched well, complete the trip to exotica accompanied by a feast of ethnic flavors. Start with stuffed grape leaves in garlic yogurt sauce, continue with a lamb tandure plate, or vegetarian kasarli mantar, and save room for baklava or baked fig in honey.   (© 10Best)
