This turreted, Victorian home was constructed in 1889 for physician and Confederate surgeon, Dr. T.R. Meux. Comprised of ten rooms, and boasting a gingerbread-accented verandah, the home is considered a middle-class residence. Today, it features authentic period furnishings, and tours are conducted by costumed guides. Named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, the home was inhabited by Meux descendants until 1970. The property may be rented for weddings and receptions.
