1. Chaffee Zoological Gardens

Tucked away in Roeding Park, this wonderful zoo is a delight for kids and adults as well. One of its most popular exhibits, the South American Tropical Rainforest, recreates a naturalistic environment of exotic plants and animals. Visitors can also view tigers, orangutans, an array of reptiles, and domesticated animals like sheep and cows. Added attractions include hippo feedings, camel rides, reptile encounters, and a show that highlights bird behaviors and abilities. Birthday parties and school visits are welcomed.   (© 10Best)

I think this is a very good little zoo. I have been there several times and I still remember the first time. We were in the area and looking for something to do. We spend a lot of our vacation time in zoos wherever we go. We were very impressed to find this quality of a zoo in Fresno, CA.
