4. Hippodrome State Theatre

GAINESVILLE.   One of the most unique attractions in Gainesville, the Hippodrome State Theatre was founded in 1973 as an artistic venue that would challenge contemporary theater production and strive to bring independent art to the forefront of culture. Located in the historic Federal Building, this Gainesville venue is known for staging and developing some of the best in American and Southern art.
