GAINESVILLE. One of the largest retail centers in north central Florida – and certainly one of Gainesville's most popular – Butler Plaza offers more than a million square feet of shopping possibilities. The complex, also known as the "Miracle Mile" for its approximate length, includes east, west and central sections. Within them, you'll find everything from Target and Best Buy to Lowe's and Eckerd, along with a movie theater, grocery stores, apparel venues, department stores and a host of chain restaurants (known as "Restaurant Row"). Just a mile from UF, Butler Plaza gets lots of traffic from students and Alachua County residents alike.
