Fullen's Waterwall offers casual dining in a unique setting. Diners can enjoy a sunny sky on an outdoor terrace or turn to face the restaurant's namesake, the "water wall." The menu includes American favorites like burgers, sirloin steaks, and chicken entrees, along with chicken and pork Mexican dishes. Bring the whole family for lunch, or meet up with friends for the restaurant's live entertainment and a few drinks on Saturday night.

Miller's Landing is known for its fresh seafood offerings, but who said you can't combine fresh seafood with a hearty breakfast? Diners can reel in almost any type of omelet that suits their fancy, including a tasty catch filled with melted Swiss cheese, boiled shrimp, onions, and tomatoes.

Diners seeking a respite from fried foods and MSG can take comfort at The Mosquito Café. This bistro offers a variety of salads, vegetarian dishes, pasta, and sandwiches—all mouthwatering and tastefully prepared. Although, if you want to be a little bad, the Café also offers fresh pies and scones.

Any visitor to Texas would be remiss not to prop up an elbow at least once at a barbecue establishment, and Queen's Barbecue is the best in Galveston (or so say readers of The Galveston County Daily News). Choose from beef, pork, or turkey to get just the flavor you want, and add in a perfect side item like potato salad, coleslaw, or baked beans. For another type of Southwest treat, order a bowl of Queen's Texas chili.
