Family-run by a Franco-Italian husband-wife team, this establishment offers an ever-changing chalkboard of selections: toasted brioche, pepper soup with ciabatta, or beef medallions in red wine. Mother India offers freshly prepared Indian favorites that are cooked to order. Don't come if you're in a hurry – you may have to wait, but it's worth it. On the lower floor, checked tablecloths and jarred condiments lend a homey feel. Upstairs, the fireplace blazes in winter and the furnishings are charming antiques. This well-known European pizza chain has a modern, minimal look with black leather and chrome. Pasta dishes, salads, and desserts are available, but the real draw is of course the pizza.
