5. Mastic Trail

NORTHSIDE.   This trail, which dates back to the 19th century, was blazed as a link from Frank Sound to Old Man Bay and the Northside area. Aside from stunning scenery and more than a few chances to glimpse local wildlife, the rugged trail takes hikers into the heart of one of the West Indies' last remaining rainforests. The exquisite Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park is nearby. The trail is maintained by the National Trust (345-949-0121).   (© 10Best)
