 EDITOR REVIEW: SEVEN MILE BEACH. The restaurant competition along the main drag at Seven Mile Beach can be ferocious at times, but this Caribbean stalwart has managed to stay a favorite with locals and tourists alike. Located adjacent to the exclusive Caribbean Club, Lantana's offers imaginative fresh fish and seafood dishes, many of them bearing a traditional Caribbean influence – plantain, mango salsa, and black beans accompany such entrées as Cayman dolphinfish with tabbouleh, conch fritters, and lobster quesadillas. For extra points in the romance category, call ahead and request a window table upstairs – from there, sunset over the beach is magical. |
