   EDITOR REVIEW:

DOWNTOWN.   This museum, dedicated to America's 38th president, offers several fascinating glimpses of the 20th century – an "invitation" to a White House State Dinner, a visit to the Oval Office, and a look at the tie-dyes, 8-tracks, and bell-bottoms of the 1970s. Gems of the museum's collection include tools used by the Watergate burglars and gifts from international leaders in recognition of the United States' Bicentennial celebration. Special events like a 1940s fashion show and fireworks displays help make the museum a terrific place for the entire family. A small gift shop carries everything from President Ford golf balls to parchment replicas of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
