Comprised of open fields, wooded areas, ponds, and crisscrossing streams, this 140-plus-acre nature center offers outdoorsy activities for the entire family. Seasonal educational programs focus on the production of maple syrup, Western Michigan's pioneer and Native American roots, wildlife, and natural arts and crafts. Also located at the center is a unique collection of pioneer-era buildings, including a blacksmith shop (1869), carriage barn, schoolhouse (1853), and cabin residence (1866). The visitor center presents a variety of exhibits and a viewing area where guests can see animals from Blandford's wildlife rehabilitation program.
