Ignore Mikado's rather mundane strip-mall location. This is one of the city's best places to find authentic Japanese cuisine, and there are separate menus for sushi and sashimi. Dinner specialties include ginger beef, broiled eel, and a variety of terrific tempura and teriyaki dishes. While the decor is rather unimpressive—the brightly lit interior evidences Eastern minimalism at its best—the friendly waitstaff and outgoing chefs go a long way toward making all patrons feel welcome. Take out is available, and reservations are accepted.

Mikado is the best place to go for sushi. Friendly chefs welcome you with "I-rat-shai" (meaning welcome). Impressive sushi, roles, and teriyaki. I love their ginger salad dressing and their spicy sause. Can't find similar tasty anywhere else! However, decor is little downside on them, but figures, they don't have time to decor during their lunch time since they are heck of busy.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants I have been to. Great and friendly service, very creative food style, and their own sauce! Their salad sauce is "must TRY!" and the sushi is great and very FRESH! I strongly recommend it if you are a first-timer!
