8. Natural Science Center of Greensboro

The Natural Science Center with their new zoological park is a great place and a great value. The zoo is well designed and growing. Their dome theater is a one-of-a-kind and their educational programs are diverse and fun.

This place is fantastic! Educational at many levels. The close-up live animal zoo section is so much better than the NC Zoo in Asheboro, the DC Zoo, the Pittsburgh Zoo, or any others I've visited in the past twenty years or so! The tiger exhibit is amazing, as is the Meer Cat exhibit. "Close-up and personal" is an understatement. The interior exhibits are exceptional as well; lots of hands-on. Overall, the staff is knowledgeable and quite willing to share their knowledge with anyone who seems inquisitive.
