8. Hagan – Stone Park

With roughly eight miles of trails that take from 30 minutes to several hours to navigate, this scenic park can be an adventure. With about 400 acres, Hagan-Stone Park includes a wildlife refuge, recreational sports areas, and a campground. One hiking trail, the Louise Chatfield Trail, measures under three-and-a-half miles and circles the entire park perimeter. Additional features include boat rentals during the summer, free fishing on four stocked lakes, several playgrounds, mountain bike trails, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and a swimming pool.
