3. Eastern Music Festival

The Buzz -- Chamber concertos and symphonic classical sounds take to various venues throughout the city during this annual music festival. The Eastern Music Festival schedules 100 concerts and events over a five-week period. The festival dates back to 1962 and features a diverse group of musicians ranging from America’s most sought-after artists to pre-professional students. The festival also produces a popular EMFfringe series of alternative programming, featuring everything from Americana to alt country, blues, jazz and gospel. Call ahead for listings and times.
