WEST END. When April rolls around, West End Field' is the most popular spot in town for baseball fans. The city's minor league team, the Greenville Drive, moved into its current digs in 2006, and attendees love the park's inviting atmosphere. The season runs through early September. (© 10Best) Head to Fluor Field at the West End for an evening of minor league baseball with the Greenville Drive. Modeled after Boston's Fenway Park, Fluor Field looks and feels like a major league facility. Near the stadium, you'll find a statue of Shoeless Joe Jackson, the local player who made it to the 1919 World Series with the Chicago White Sox. Inside, the replica of the 30-foot Green Monster outfield wall (complete with manual scoreboard) gievs way to a view of downtown Greenville. The Drive, a farm team for the Boston Red Sox, play in the South Atlantic League.
