35. "Shoeless" Joe Jackson Memorial Ball Park

GREENVILLE.   "Shoeless" Joe Jackson, a celebrated baseball player of the early 1900s, gained renewed fame in the movie, "Field of Dreams." This park commemorates the Greenville native's career and his title as "The World's Greatest Slugger." Although his batting average ranked as third-best of all time, it wasn't enough to prevent Joe's banishment from baseball during the infamous scandal of the Chicago "Black Sox."   (© 10Best)
