The Buzz -- Wolf Kahn has been called "one of the most important colorists working in America today" – well-deserved praise, indeed. Kahn trained with Hans Hofmann in the late 1940s, and over the following decades, he exhibited throughout the US. Now, major museums – including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC – hold Kahn works in their collections. Spartanburg Art Museum is quite a bit closer to home – don't miss this opportunity to view the works of one of the finest living artists in the country. |
